Like Mothra, Rodan started out with his own movie, but got intergrated into the Godzilla series. With his only original powers being flight and the ability to produce hurricane force winds, Rodan stood little chance against Godzilla. However, in the movie 'Godzilla vs. Mechagodzilla II', Rodan transforms into the more powerful Fire Rodan (pictured on the right), which can now emit a uranium heat beam. Unfortunately, while this armament could be effective against Godzilla, it was not good enough for Mechagodzilla, who killed Fire Rodan.
