In the 1991 version of 'Godzilla vs. King Ghidorah', Godzilla finally kills the three headed dreadnought, and severs one of its heads. The Furturians take Ghidorah to the future, and build Mecha King Ghidorah around him. They then travel back in time to face Godzilla again. They battle to a standstill, and Mecha Ghidorah uses capture claws on either side of it body to cpature Godzilla and drag him out to sea, at the cost of its own life.
