Mechagodzilla was built three times, two of them were as a plan to take over the world by the Simeons, and once a weapon by the Earth to defend against Godzilla. Unfortunately, I was unable to find any good pictures of the Earth's Mechagodzilla (trust me, it looks a lot better), but feel free to check out Godzilla '98 for one. Anyway, the Earth Mechagodzilla came closer than any other opponent before in destroying Godzilla: it crushed his second brain. Unfortunately, the King of Monsters was revived by a dose of high radiation.
